About the Workplace SiS Youth Residential Facility Tysslinge is a maximum security institution that receives youth at high risk for threats, violence, and escape. The facility has seven units total, accommodating youth placed under the Act on Care of Young People (LVU), youth sentenced under the Act on Closed Youth Care (LSU), and one unit consisting of spaces for youth in solitary care (VIE) during certain periods. The majority of our youth are often involved in legal proceedings or already convicted of serious crimes and have connections to criminal networks. School is an important and central part of the youth's care and treatment and is a key protective factor. The school is governed by the Education Act and conducts individualized schooling within introductory programs. Job Description As one of our teachers will be on parental leave, we are seeking a teacher for an extended substitute position through August 31, 2028, with subject qualifications in English and at least one additional upper secondary subject. SiS is responsible for the education of all enrolled youth regardless of their circumstances or placement type. All youth at the residential facility shall receive the education they need and are entitled to. At Tysslingeskolan, we offer instruction at both lower and upper secondary levels within language introduction and individualized alternative programs. We work with a special education approach and engage in continuous professional development. Tysslingeskolan currently consists of thirteen teachers, one special education teacher, a study and career guidance counselor with administrative responsibility, and a principal.
