JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Are you an engaged, collaborative, and experienced counselor who is passionate about students' psychosocial well-being? As a counselor with us, you contribute a psychosocial perspective to student health work. According to school law, the work is primarily health-promoting and preventive, but also includes significant intervention responsibilities. You work independently with your own planning, but you are also a key player in our interdisciplinary student health team. You collaborate with the school's other counselor, who works 80% at the school. Your main responsibilities include: • Investigation and follow-up: You have particular responsibility for leading investigations and follow-ups in efforts to increase attendance and in cases of reported harassment. • Safety work: You lead and structure the school's Safety Team and participate in staff meetings. You develop, implement, and follow up on methods to strengthen values-based work at the school. • Collaboration: You are an active part of our student health teams and collaborate with external partners as needed, such as the Youth Clinic, Field Assistants, Social Services, and various parties in the "Support the Child" model. • Consultation: You serve as professional support for mentors and teachers in complex student matters. • Individual support: You offer individual support conversations to students, as determined by the student health team. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who is: • Attentive and empathetic: You quickly build trust with students, guardians, and colleagues. You have the ability to recognize students' strengths and motivate them. • Secure and stable: You have personal maturity and a constructive approach to handling difficult situations and crises. • Organized and driven: You can plan and organize your work independently and move processes forward. • Collaborative: You enjoy working in teams and understand that collaboration between different professions is key to successful student health work. For this position, we require: • A degree in Social Work (Socionom). • Experience working as a counselor in primary school. • Strong knowledge of regulations: You are well-versed in school law, confidentiality legislation, and work against harassment. • Digital competence: You have good ability to communicate verbally and in writing and are comfortable with digital tools for documentation (we use Prorenata). Employment form: Fixed-term contract. Duration: 6 months or longer. The city uses individual salary determination. The position is 50% during the 2026/2027 school year.
