We listen to each other, help one another, and work toward common goals. Here are opportunities for those who want to create, change, develop – and at the same time be part of a fantastic part of our beautiful environment and work with a focus on Green rehabilitation. You'll have the opportunity to influence and develop activities based on occupational therapy. About the operation Nytida Villa Arelid is a short-term residential facility in Alingsås with 18 places for people over 40 years old. We serve people with neurological disabilities such as stroke or dementia, physical disabilities such as MS, and multiple disabilities such as neurological and mental health conditions. People with substance abuse issues, verbal aggressive behavior, complex medical needs, and more are also welcome with us. We accept placements according to the Social Services Act (SoL). How we work We have a rehabilitative approach in daily life. Twice a week we work with Green Rehab, where we utilize the positive impact of nature and the garden on people. Together with staff, residents are involved in the kitchen as part of their rehabilitation, normalization, and training. All our food is prepared from scratch at Villa Arelid by kitchen staff and residents. For major holidays and birthdays, residents participate in planning, shopping, and preparation, such as baking their own cake or cooking a pumpkin soup. We also work with what we call everyday rehabilitation. This means a smaller group of guests and staff plan, shop, and prepare a meal together in a training kitchen. One person per occasion prepares, guides, and is primarily responsible for lunch together with our occupational therapist. This is to practice and develop the natural aspects of daily life, develop knowledge about food and meals, and achieve better health.
