We are now recruiting a nursing assistant for one of our dementia care units at Gruvan. Our facility is located in central Karlstad, and we have a wonderful team ready to welcome a new colleague. Gruvan is a historic post office with character located in central Karlstad, next to the Cathedral. The residence is three stories with 11 apartments on each floor. We have a lovely roof terrace where we enjoy spending time when the weather permits. We are a dementia-certified residence, which means everyone working here is trained in dementia care and patient interactions through Vardaga's Dementia Academy. We use a base schedule that is based on the residents' needs. The schedule rotates every 4 weeks. You have a group manager who spends most of their time working close to you in the facility. Becoming a group manager can also be a career opportunity for you as a nursing assistant. We are constantly working to find new and exciting activities for our residents. At Gruvan, we have an activities coordinator employed who runs daily activities. As a nursing assistant, you are incredibly important! Your task is to provide quality of life. With your help, our residents can maintain their lifestyle and habits. You see each person and interpret what they need. At the same time, you will learn a lot about care, aging, and how to interact with people. You work closest to the residents and therefore have a key role in the team with nurses, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists. You also participate in care planning and write social documentation. Your experience and knowledge We are looking for you who are trained as a nursing assistant and have worked several years in elderly care. Good computer skills and experience with documentation are also advantageous. Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, is required, but otherwise your CV is not the most important thing.
