WORK ASSIGNMENTS We are now welcoming a nurse to our infectious disease clinic with an assignment in the Needle Exchange Program for a temporary position that extends over one year. The two main purposes of the needle exchange program in accordance with the needle exchange act are to prevent blood-borne infections and to curatively work toward freedom from drugs. You work in a team together with doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, a social worker, and a midwife. The main work assignments are the management of infections in the target group. This includes bacterial infections such as skin and soft tissue infections as well as viral infections such as hepatitis C.
