The Fire and Rescue Service is part of Luleå Municipality and has the mission to work to ensure that people living and working in Luleå are safe and secure. At the Fire and Rescue Service, we have approximately 100 employees. Our most common roles are firefighters, fire engineers, fire inspectors and case handlers. We respond to approximately 1100 alarms per year and are among other things a national chemical resource and have an agreement with SMC (Fire Suppression Central) to be able to handle fires in oil tankers.
