The position is placed within the Social Services Department, which is one of eight departments in Linköping Municipality. This doctoral position offers advanced training in organic synthesis, with a focus on developing new synthetic methods through the use of, but not limited to, photoredox catalysis. Responsibilities You will primarily dedicate yourself to your doctoral education, which includes participation in research projects as well as doctoral training courses, seminars, and conferences. The responsibilities mainly involve organic synthesis and molecular design, together with purification and characterization using chromatography and spectroscopic techniques such as LC-MS and NMR. You will be responsible for documenting experimental work, analyzing data, and assisting in the completion of scientific manuscripts. Additionally, the role includes planning experiments and presenting research results at group meetings and seminars. The responsibilities may also include participation in teaching and other departmental work (however, no more than 20% of working time). Qualifications To be admitted and employed as a PhD student, you must meet the requirements below. Basic Eligibility Requirements You meet the general eligibility requirements for doctoral education if you have: completed an advanced degree, or completed at least 240 higher education credits, of which at least 60 are at the advanced level, or acquired equivalent knowledge by other means. Specific Eligibility for Organic Chemistry You meet the specific requirements for organic chemistry if you have: at least 15 higher education credits within the subject area, of which at least 7.5 are at the advanced level, and a thesis of at least 30 higher education credits at the advanced level within the subject area, or a degree as a civil engineer in chemical engineering, biotechnology, ecosystem engineering, or technical nanoscience. Finally, the student must be assessed to have the ability required to complete the education. Within social psychiatry, we work with individual support in daily life for people with various cognitive, social, and mental health variations. WORK TASKS In your role, you support people in their daily lives, both practically and by creating conditions for increased independence among our residents.
