The department currently has nine employees working on matters such as labor market, integration, business, tourism, and digitalization. In the project, you will work closely with a project colleague and report directly to the Business and Development Manager. About the Project Language is an important key to employment, participation, and health. Language Development & Employment is Älvkarleby Municipality's part of the regional project Expanded Early Interventions in Collaboration, which is run by Region Uppsala together with seven municipalities in the region. The project is largely financed by the EU Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF). The project targets third-country nationals residing in Älvkarleby Municipality who need to strengthen their Swedish language skills and their position on the labor market. Special focus is on individuals who have struggled to make progress in their SFI studies or who need to strengthen, for example, work experience and digital skills. We work practically and individually with language, health, labor market issues, and civic orientation. Through internships, group activities, individual support, and collaboration with employers and civil society, we create multiple pathways to employment, education, and increased participation. Work Duties As a project officer, you will work closely with participants while also helping to develop the project's working methods.
