About the Job Do you want to lead and further develop the joint payroll center for Western Skaraborg? We are now seeking a Payroll Manager for Payroll Center V6 – an operation with an important public mission, high expertise, and great opportunities to influence the future of payroll and staffing processes. Essunga, Grästorp, Götene, Lidköping, Skara, and Vara collaborate under the name V6. As part of this collaboration, Payroll Center V6 is responsible for services in payroll administration, pension and insurance administration, and system management for staffing. The operation provides services to the six municipalities as well as to municipal companies, municipal associations, and foundations. The payroll center is located in the city hall in Lidköping and is in an exciting development phase. A new organization has been established and the implementation of a new payroll and staffing system is largely complete. At the same time, work continues to develop and anchor common working methods, roles, and processes to create a sustainable and efficient operation in the long term. Responsibilities As a Payroll Manager, you are responsible for operations, personnel, and finances for your unit. You lead the daily work and ensure, together with your colleagues, correct, efficient, and quality-assured payroll management for approximately 10,000 employees. As a Payroll Manager, you have a central role in leading the operation from establishment and implementation to stable operations, high quality, and continued development. The assignment combines secure and operations-focused leadership with strategic responsibility for change, collaboration, and development. You are responsible for ensuring that the operation has the right competence, well-functioning processes, and good conditions to deliver with high quality and service. You take advantage of opportunities in digitalization and new working methods, and work to ensure that Payroll Center V6 continues to be a professional, efficient, and attractive operation for both the organization and employees. Who Are You? We are looking for you as a confident, authentic, and development-oriented leader with experience in municipal payroll management. We see that you have academic education relevant to the assignment, or other education and experience that the employer deems equivalent. You have several years of experience in leadership and are used to working with development of working methods, quality, and service in a complex operation. You have a good understanding of the requirements, processes, agreements, and regulations that characterize the payroll area in municipal operations. Furthermore, you have very good administrative skills, good digital competence, and express yourself well in Swedish in both speech and writing. Experience with work in payroll and staffing systems, system management, or development of digital working methods is meritorious. Your leadership is characterized by trust, clarity, and presence, and you see participation as an important prerequisite for engagement, responsibility-taking, and good results. As a leader, you are attentive to the operation's needs, have the ability to prioritize, and create participation in change and development work. You encourage employees to contribute ideas, try new solutions, and use their competence in a way that strengthens both the operation and job satisfaction. You communicate in a simple and trust-building manner and have an easy time collaborating with different stakeholders. We place great importance on personal qualities.
