Entrecon Consulting is seeking a Design Manager for Construction and Real Estate

Do you have experience in design management and a strong understanding of regulations and authority requirements? Do you enjoy creating structure and coordination in the early stages of the building process? You inspire collaboration, see the big picture, and help different disciplines work effectively together. If so, this job might be for you. We accept applications on a rolling basis and match them with inquiries from our customers and clients. You will be employed by Entrecon Consulting and work on assignments at customer locations. The Assignment Assignments can be both new construction and renovation projects, residential or commercial properties, primarily in Stockholm/Mälardalen. In the role of design manager, you will be a central link between the client, designers, and production management, leading and coordinating the design work. The design team is normally a mix of the client's internal and external specialists, production personnel, consultants, and client representatives. Together, you will develop all project documentation, from early sketches to system drawings and finally construction drawings. The goal of the design phase is to shape a product based on the client's vision that ensures production can be carried out safely and efficiently, that specified project requirements, legislation, and project goals are met, and that project economics are secured. As a design manager, you are a key person in creating a good collaborative climate and building strong relationships within the group. Your ability to engage people and get everyone pulling in the same direction is crucial to the project's success. Competencies You have a background as a project/design manager with at least 5 years of experience in the role. It is an advantage to have a background in production, primarily construction and real estate, but also land and infrastructure, or alternatively as a designer, from which you have developed an understanding of the various aspects of the building process (technical, economic, and contract law). You should also have an interest in digital working methods and good computer skills, as well as solid knowledge of contract and consulting law. If you have experience from the consulting role and enjoy taking on commercial and technical responsibility in assignments, that is a great plus. You also have good communication skills in speech and writing in both Swedish and English. We believe you are a generalist with a strategic mindset who still understands the importance of details. It is also important that you feel confident in your leadership and dare to trust others, but at the same time recognize that checkpoints and requirements are important for successful design. As a design manager, you are a team player who understands the value of different perspectives. You engage with both internal and external stakeholders and create confidence through clear communication and attentive listening. You build trust, move conversations forward with respect, and find common solutions even when opinions differ. About Us Entrecon Consulting is a consulting firm active in construction & real estate, land & infrastructure, and infrastructure development. We offer our customers carefully selected expertise and our consultants a good work environment and exciting consulting assignments. Balance between work and personal life is important to us. We believe that satisfied, happy, and motivated employees perform better, especially when they are in exciting and challenging projects. We therefore always try to match the consultant's preferences and profile with the nature and character of the assignment to achieve a win-win situation with a satisfied client and a satisfied employee/consultant!
