This includes agreements with the Sámi School Board regarding Sámi-integrated instruction in primary school. We currently have nine native language teachers in Sámi languages and one duajjáre who also teaches South Sámi as a native language. These form a work team where experience sharing and professional development take place. We are seeking someone with strong knowledge of Sámi culture and who masters both soft and hard crafts. A driver's license category B and driving experience are required for the position. To be able to combine the position with an assignment as a native language teacher in South or Ume Sámi, you are expected to have strong knowledge of South or Ume Sámi, as well as a strong desire and great interest in teaching. We would like it if you have the ambition to educate yourself to become a native language teacher if you do not already have that background. It is also important that you have good computer skills if you choose distance learning instruction. For us, it is important that you can meet students based on their different prerequisites. You need to have good social competence and a professional demeanor. You see the work team as an asset for support and experience sharing, while having the ability to independently conduct and take responsibility for your own instruction and related tasks.
