We are seeking part-time firefighters for the Sorsele station Would you like to join our team and be part of providing important and valuable safety for the citizens of Sorsele Municipality? The Rescue Service in Sorsele Municipality consists of stations in Sorsele, Ammarnäs, and a rescue center in Gargnäs. In Sorsele, we have 5 personnel on standby distributed across 4 groups. In Ammarnäs, we have 2 personnel across four groups. The Gargnäs center includes 10 personnel. We serve approximately 2,500 municipal residents within our work area. The Rescue Service in Sorsele is part of a collaboration with 10 inland municipalities called RSR10. Job Responsibilities We are looking for someone who, alongside your regular employment, wants to make an important contribution to society. Being a part-time firefighter means you have primary employment with another employer and work as a firefighter on a part-time basis. With us, you will initially be part of a pool and step in during absences, and eventually participate in standby duty every fourth week. The role also includes participating in exercises and training programs organized by us, which are mainly scheduled in the evenings. Employment includes 2 weeks of basic training with compensation according to the agreement. This is followed by additional specialized training courses. You will receive a salary during all training you need to complete. These trainings can be local at the rescue service or through the MSB central training system to achieve the required competency. It is therefore important that your primary employer is informed of the need for additional training.
