ABOUT THE JOB
Now you have the opportunity to help shape the future of municipal rehabilitation. We are seeking a Medical Director for Rehabilitation (MAR) who wants to contribute to developing safe, secure, and person-centered care close to residents.
From July 1, 2026, a national requirement for a Medical Director for Rehabilitation (MAR) will be introduced. We are therefore seeking you to take a strategic and central role in developing rehabilitation within municipal health and medical care. Through collaborative agreements, you will work for multiple municipalities with one municipality as your formal employer. The collaborating municipalities are Lycksele, Storuman, Sorsele, and Malå. You have the opportunity to choose which of the municipalities you want to base yourself in.
As MAR, you will have a key role in strengthening quality, patient safety, and medical expertise within rehabilitation and assistive devices. You will contribute to creating a more cohesive, accessible, and person-centered rehabilitation close to residents. This is a unique opportunity for you who want to take clear professional leadership and influence the development of future municipal health and medical care.
In the role, you are responsible for developing, following up on, and ensuring quality and patient safety within rehabilitation operations. You work on developing, revising, and following up on procedures and working methods, and function as expert support to managers and staff. The assignment also includes overall monitoring and analysis of deviations, medical record reviews, handling of Lex Maria reports, and driving systematic improvement work based on results and identified development areas.
You lead and participate in development and training initiatives, represent the municipalities in various forums and networks, and participate in work with agreements and agreement monitoring. An important part of the assignment is to collaborate both within and between municipalities as well as with the region and other MAS and MAR functions in the county.
The position involves varied and independent work with great opportunity to influence content and working methods. Because the assignment covers multiple municipalities, travel between operations occurs. At the same time, there are good opportunities for flexible and digital work when operations permit.
YOUR PROFILE
We believe in the right competence in the right place.
We are seeking you who are a licensed physiotherapist or occupational therapist and who have long experience working in primary care or municipal health and medical care. You have a strong commitment to quality development, patient safety, and systematic improvement work. You are accustomed to working digitally and feel confident managing both administrative tasks and collaboration with different professions, operations, and organizations.
As a person, you are independent, structured, and accustomed to planning and driving your work with great freedom under responsibility. You have good analytical ability and can see both the big picture and details. You are confident in your profession and have the integrity to ask questions, raise risks, and question when needed to ensure quality and patient safety.
You find it easy to build trusting relationships and communicate clearly and professionally both verbally and in writing in Swedish. A driver's license is required for the position because travel is included in the assignment.
We work values-driven in all municipalities and want your conduct and actions to align with our well-established collaboration, core values, and our vision. Great importance will therefore be placed on personal suitability.
