Unit 5 is a child and adolescent psychiatric care ward with 6 beds serving all of Örebro County. We admit children and adolescents with serious psychiatric conditions for acute inpatient stays. Patients are cared for together with their guardian(s), and the goal of inpatient care is primarily to stabilize acute distress so that patients can return home and continue their treatment in outpatient care. On Unit 5, we work in a cohesive multiprofessional team that, in addition to nurses, includes a social worker, care assistant, physician, teacher, and unit manager. We actively engage in development work to address our mission in a safe and professional manner. Duties Duties include psychiatric nursing care, including relationship building, supportive conversations, and motivational work. Medication management is one of the responsibilities, as is contact with family members and collaboration with our outpatient services and other care partners.
