The unit's focus is a preventive approach where we collaborate both within the administration and within Nässjö municipality. DUTIES As an Environmental and Health Protection Inspector, you will work with handling and supervision based on the Environmental Code. The position is varied and will include both planned supervision and handling of various incoming cases. You will handle matters independently in close collaboration with and support from several colleagues. We do this by conducting inspections, investigating environmental disturbances or nuisances, reviewing and handling applications and notifications, writing decisions, responding to referrals, and providing advice and information to business owners and the public. In addition to close collaboration with colleagues in the office, you will actively work together with other administrations and the municipality's companies, where you, among other things, through cooperation with other municipal employees, work towards high service quality. The duties include presenting cases in writing and orally to the board. The position can to some extent be adapted to your experience, competence, and preferences. Currently, we are focusing on strengthening the following areas: • Food • Environmental protection • Health protection • Agriculture QUALIFICATIONS You have relevant higher education in environmental science or equivalent work experience that the employer considers equivalent. You have good knowledge of relevant legal areas or the framework legislation that governs Swedish public activities. It is a merit if you have experience in a similar role or have otherwise worked with legal issues within government administration. To thrive and succeed in the role, you need to have a genuine interest in legal issues and appreciate working with service to the municipality's residents. The work requires you to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish, and it is an advantage if you can also communicate in several languages. As a person, you are attentive and have the ability to combine the service and government roles in your contacts with business operators and municipal residents. You communicate clearly and pedagogically in meetings with different actors. You are service-oriented, structured, and positive, with the ability to work efficiently and carefully both independently and in a team.
