The Operation, Anesthesia, and ICU Clinic consists of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Central Surgery (C-op), Day Surgery Mora (DKM), and Sterile Technique. The ICU cares for approximately 1,500 patients per year, of which approximately 500 are ICU patients. At C-op and DKM, approximately 4,500-5,000 operations are performed annually, primarily surgery and orthopedics but also some urology. Sterile Technique handles goods from surgical departments, care units, and clinics at the hospital as well as from all health centers in Region Dalarna. We maintain close collaboration with other clinics and also provide external services at the hospital including sedation/anesthesia at clinics, emergency response teams, and advanced care during secondary transfers to other hospitals.
