About Us The Investigation and Placement Unit for Children, Youth, and Relationship Violence is part of Individual and Family Services in Upplands Väsby. Our unit consists of 53 employees with different roles and responsibilities. We have a reception team and three investigation teams for children, youth, and relationship violence. We also have a placement team for family foster care where contact services are included. The unit has two family therapists and a recruitment process is underway for parental support workers. There are four senior case handlers whose responsibilities include introducing new employees and providing certain methodological support. Two administrative assistants serve the entire unit, which is led by two unit managers and four assistant unit managers. Together we create meaningful work, and with the new social services act, great opportunities open up for us to develop social work! We have a "dare to do" mentality which means we dare to test and learn from our mistakes. Together we work based on the overarching political goal of good living conditions for children, young people, and adults in Upplands Väsby municipality. About the Position In the role of family foster care case handler, you are responsible for recruitment, matching, investigation, and the important task of providing support and supervision to foster families. To succeed in this assignment, close collaboration is required with the child case handler who is responsible for the placed child, where together you ensure that the child receives the support and care they need from the foster family. As a family foster care case handler, you have the opportunity to build long and meaningful relationships with families who have the right conditions to take on a foster care assignment.
