Medical Technology Engineer

Great emphasis is placed on strong IT skills since IT systems and image management from X-ray modalities and ultrasound are central to the role. You will have a significant role in the organization with influence over integration in future technical solutions and will participate in equipment procurement. Östersunds Hospital is a comprehensive and well-equipped acute care hospital with high expertise in both medical specialties and nursing care. The hospital with 2,400 employees is the only one in the county, which is an advantage as it enables close collaboration between different specialties. DUTIES We are now seeking an employee who is a medical technology engineer with experience in data/electronics, but we are open to applicants who have acquired equivalent knowledge through experience. You are comfortable configuring medical technology equipment against other systems, have knowledge of client/server environments and network structures both theoretically and practically. You will primarily work with service of the Region's various X-ray equipment at the hospital and in primary care, as well as participate in procurement of these modalities. Great importance is placed on personal suitability as the work requires drive and structure, while you must be able to communicate with different professional groups about the technical issues to be solved. The ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize in stressful situations is a requirement. The position involves considerable service travel to primary care facilities as well as training and procurement trips within and outside Sweden. The professional role involves investigating complex relationships, delivering reports, and designing training programs. We will conduct interviews on a continuous basis. QUALIFICATIONS We are primarily looking for you as a medical technology engineer with several years of experience in procurement, service, and maintenance of medical technology equipment. Other education or documented experience that the employer deems adequate may also be accepted. We place great emphasis on personal qualities and suitability. Power System Analyst

The electricity grid industry is undergoing rapid change – from a focus on infrastructure to a focus on systems. About the job As a power system analyst with us, you'll work close to the core of electricity grid operations – ensuring that our grid is robust, reliable, and functions in all operating states. The role is placed in our analysis operations where you'll primarily work with two central areas: Selective planning and protection philosophy – ensuring that faults are disconnected quickly, selectively, and correctly Disturbance analysis – analyzing deviations in the grid and contributing to improvements in operations and infrastructure Your responsibilities will include: working with power system analyses and selective planning performing disturbance analyses at 0.4–130 kV developing and maintaining power system data and calculation models contributing to the development of working methods, tools, and processes collaborating with project, operations, and maintenance teams to strengthen the overall picture Who are you? You have a relevant higher education degree or engineering degree, or equivalent experience that we consider equivalent. You could be an experienced grid or power system specialist, or a newly graduated engineer in, for example, electrical power or energy systems – what matters is that you have a strong interest in the electrical system's function and development. A strong passion for technology is essential to thrive in this role. We're looking for someone who is curious about power systems and wants to work with analysis in operations with great importance to society. You express yourself fluently in Swedish, both spoken and written, and have good knowledge of English, both orally and in writing. Experience with power system analysis tools and calculations is a merit. As a person, you are analytical and thorough, independent, and confident in your work. You have a drive for development and you are communicative with an ability to collaborate easily. The position requires a B driver's license and Swedish citizenship (requirement for security clearance).
