As part of increasing the participation of Region Jämtland Härjedalen's patients in clinical studies and creating a developing research climate in our operations, we are now establishing a division-wide clinical research nurse position for the department. The research nurses will be a natural and important part in building this operation. The Department of Surgery consists of surgical operations where oncology and palliative care are subordinate, orthopedics, gynecology, otolaryngology, ophthalmology, as well as the anesthesia, operating room, and intensive care unit area. The assignment will initially be focused on oncological operations within the surgical area, but in the long term, the assignment should encompass the entire department. 2 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a research nurse with us, you contribute your expertise and dedication, which leads to the development of future care and treatments. In this role, you will work to support the department's research environment and increase the number of high-quality clinical studies with high patient safety. We are now seeking two research nurses to work with our clinical studies. As a Research Nurse, you will be part of a team that initially works to start up and conduct cancer studies to develop new treatments for our patients. We conduct various types of clinical studies that may include new drug treatments, radiation therapy, nursing research, and more. Your responsibilities include planning, organizing, coordinating, and conducting clinical studies. This includes patient visits and other administrative tasks related to research. You will coordinate the department's ongoing studies as part of a team with other research staff within the department. In our unit, we have a standardized approach to comply with the regulations governing clinical trials. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with several years of experience in the profession. You also need to have good knowledge of Swedish and English, both in writing and speech. It is advantageous if you have previously worked with clinical studies and have experience from oncological care and treatment. A prerequisite for the work is that you have an interest in clinical research, are structured, thorough, and quality-oriented. You also need to be collaborative, have good communication skills, and be driven, responsible, and flexible. Great emphasis is placed on personal qualities. Employment form: Permanent employment. Both research nurse positions are at 50% and can be combined with other nursing assignments, up to 100% at, for example, the oncology clinic.
