Introduction
Are you a person who wants to work in a socially important and eventful organization where the pace is sometimes high? Are you a service-oriented security guard with experience of administrative work, or are you perhaps an experienced administrator who wants to train to become a security guard? Then a position as security guard at Östersund District Court might be for you.
Work duties
With us you get a varied, responsible and developmental work in an exciting and important operation. Together with your security guard colleagues, your main tasks are to be responsible for order and security in our public areas and to act as a security provider. Since May 2026, the district court has a permanent security checkpoint staffed by you and your colleagues.
You will also work at the court's reception, providing service both internally to court employees and externally to parties in cases, lawyers, prosecutors and others who visit the court. Your role also includes administrative tasks such as answering emails and issuing public documents, mail handling, purchasing, scheduling and support to our lay judges, etc. You will also work with some support regarding IT and technology in the courtrooms.
Qualifications
Upper secondary school competence or equivalent education/experience that the employer deems equivalent
Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, and fluency in English
Valid security guard certificate and experience of security guard work including security screening, or
Documented experience of administrative work and willingness to complete police authority training for security guards
We are looking for someone with good judgment and a pronounced sense of service. You have very good collaboration skills and enjoy working in a team. You are unpretentious and are happy to contribute your skills and commitment to the organization, and you have the ability to build good relationships both internally and externally. We value that you can take your own initiatives and that you can independently organize and prioritize your work. Since the position is a combination of security work and administrative work, we would like you to have interest and aptitude for administrative work as well.
Experience with security screening is a merit, as is experience with administrative work or service work, preferably at a court or other public organization. High IT proficiency, interest in technology and knowledge of additional languages can also be a merit.
To be considered for employment at Östersund District Court, you must meet high standards regarding judgment, security awareness and suitability. This means that you stand up for democratic values and the state values that govern Sweden's Courts. We naturally require that you comply with applicable laws. We place great emphasis on personal qualities.

The position is a permanent employment with a 6-month probationary period.
