Here at Kalmar Municipality, we work together to continuously make Kalmar even better—for everyone who lives their lives here, runs businesses, or visits our beautiful municipality. Kalmar Municipality has elderly care at the national forefront. Kalmar Municipality should be a leader when it comes to new ideas, collaboration, and continuous improvement work with care recipients at the center. Together, we make Kalmar's healthcare and care services even better around the clock. Welcome to us! 2 position(s). WORK TASKS Do you want varied and meaningful work where you can use your skills broadly and work close to the patient? With us in municipal primary care, you'll be part of the shift toward Close Care, where we strive to base our approach on each patient's individual needs and create security through continuity and coordination. As a nurse with us, you'll be a fixed point of contact for patients in home healthcare and/or in care and residential facilities. This means you have a central role where you plan, implement, and follow up on healthcare interventions based on each patient's needs. The work is varied and spans everything from advanced home healthcare and medication management to wound care and end-of-life care. You meet patients at different stages and with different needs, which means you get to use all of your competence as a nurse. You work both independently and together with colleagues in a nursing team where you support each other and share experiences. The work takes place in close collaboration with other professions such as care assistants, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, benefits coordinators, and unit managers. You also have contact with other parts of the healthcare system, for example psychiatry and health centers. We work person-centered together with the entire team around the patient. With us, you have work with freedom under responsibility, where you plan your day based on current needs and priorities. At the same time, you're part of a team where collaboration is an important part of daily life. As a nurse, you also have, among other things, a supervisory role for care personnel and students. Working hours are mainly during daytime, with some evening shifts. Weekend work occurs at most every fourth weekend currently. During evenings and weekends, interventions that cannot wait are carried out by nurses working in municipal primary care. Are you curious but want to know more before you decide? You have the opportunity to observe with us during one or two work shifts with compensation. QUALIFICATIONS We're looking for you who are a licensed nurse. It's a merit if you have previous experience from municipal healthcare, but it's not a requirement. We consider it a merit if you have further education, for example as a district nurse, geriatric nurse, or other specialization that adds value to the operation. To thrive in the role, you need to be confident in your profession and able to work independently, make your own decisions, and take responsibility for your patients. At the same time, you value collaboration and contribute to a good team climate where you support each other in daily work. You have the ability to structure and prioritize your work based on changing needs, and can adapt when the situation requires it. The work demands flexibility, initiative, and a solution-focused approach. We also see that you have a genuine commitment to your work and to the people you meet. Great weight is placed on personal suitability. A B driver's license is required. Welcome with your application! Selection and interviews are ongoing, so don't delay in getting in touch. Salary form: Monthly salary. Employment form: Permanent employment. Duration: Permanent, start date: Start date by agreement. Working hours: Shift schedule. Kalmar Municipality checks identity and work authorization before anyone is employed. This means that you, as a job applicant with us, need to show identification. If applicable, you may also need to show your residence and work permit. As a permanent employee at Kalmar Municipality, you will be assigned to your workplace for civil defense purposes and are expected to contribute your work during heightened readiness. Certain positions at Kalmar Municipality are classified as security-sensitive, which means that a security vetting according to the Security Protection Act may be conducted before an employment decision. If you want to apply for a job with us but have protected personal information, you should not apply via Visma Recruit.
