Pilot assignments are ordered through a traffic control center, where pilot operators ensure that assignments are planned as efficiently as possible based on customer needs and the availability of pilots on duty. Job Responsibilities As a pilot operator, you will work with receiving pilot orders and distributing piloting assignments, recording service times, vessel arrival and departure times, and handling ongoing administrative tasks related to the piloting process.
