The Intermediate Care Unit (IMA) is a relatively new care unit, which means we are continuously developing the department together. It is a 24/7 operation, and patients come to us from throughout the hospital. Patients cared for at IMA require a higher level of care than a regular ward, but not as advanced as intensive care. The average length of stay is approximately 1-2 days. At IMA, we have five care beds divided between two care teams. The workplace is characterized by a cheerful, professional, and inclusive environment where we have close collaboration. JOB DUTIES Common diagnoses we treat include respiratory failure, sepsis, metabolic disorders, and intoxications. Patients come to us from medical wards, acute care operations, and as "step down" from our intensive care unit.
