The Surgery and Gastroenterology operations at Skåne University Hospital include surgical and gastroenterological care in Malmö and Lund, as well as surgical care in Landskrona. We provide specialized and highly specialized care. The Colorectal Surgery Department in Malmö is an elective ward caring for patients undergoing surgical procedures of the intestine. The department has 20 beds and we work in teams with physicians, nurses, nurse assistants, medical secretaries, and the rehabilitation group. The department has new facilities on the hospital campus in Malmö. We strive to work based on evidence and with patient-centered care. Staff actively participates in various groups to develop and advance the operations. 2 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES With us, you will have an exciting and developmental position in a pleasant work environment. You will be surrounded by friendly and competent colleagues with extensive experience. As a nurse, you will work with preoperative preparations and postoperative care of patients who have undergone colorectal surgery. Stoma care is an important part of the treatment. You will also work with advanced pain management and be responsible for medical treatment. Those working in the pain area visit several times a week and follow up on pain treatment. ERACS standard care plans are applied for safe and good patient care, which helps develop your clinical eye and documentation. We offer a solid introduction program that we follow up regularly so you feel secure when you start working independently with your patients. In addition, we have internal lectures within the operations that we plan together with our staff. You have the opportunity to plan your schedule yourself as we use TimeCare so that from the beginning you can (if you are newly qualified) plan in the clinical base year. Great weight is placed on personal suitability. Regarding formal qualifications, you are a licensed nurse with authorization to practice within Swedish healthcare. Swedish language skills at minimum level C1 according to the Council of Europe scale is a requirement. You will be given individual introduction adapted to your previous knowledge and experience.
