Work Tasks As an employee in Mobile Resources Suicide Prevention, you will have an independent and responsible role with great scope to plan and carry out your interventions based on the individual's needs. The first contact with the patient takes place within 48 hours of activation. Subsequent follow-up is then planned together with the patient and, when relevant, also with close ones. We are growing and are looking for you to work as deputy platoon commander at the 14th Medical Platoon. 31st Air Base Battalion and 311st Staff and Logistics Company The 31st Air Base Battalion consists of four companies and a battalion headquarters, with the main task of operating air bases and supporting fighter aircraft units. As deputy commander of the medical platoon, you will be part of the 311st Staff and Logistics Company, whose task is to support the air base with communications services, logistics services (such as transport, fuel and catering services) and medical services. 14th Medical Platoon The Medical Platoon consists of a platoon leadership and two medical teams that work together through a rear aid station and operate mobile through various types of medical vehicles. The main task is to care for the wounded throughout the air base area and to perform preventive medical measures at the base. Main Work Responsibilities As deputy medical platoon commander, you are responsible in daily service for supporting the platoon commander with the leadership of the platoon and with defense medical expertise, as well as for training soldiers in both medical care and general soldier skills at both individual and group level. You are also responsible for the platoon's equipment and maintenance services, where you are supported by the company's quartermaster and technical chief. During exercises and operations, your task is to support the platoon commander with leadership and, if necessary, be able to lead in demanding situations as well as lead smaller units outside the base, for example when the complexity of the task is high. In addition, you should support the company and battalion with leadership in defense medicine at the base, which includes prioritizing how personnel and equipment are used to maximize medical capability. This requires that you have good defense medical knowledge and a high ability to handle multiple tasks at the same time, as the platoon operates both fixed and mobile with different tasks around the clock.
