About the role The Department for Knowledge Management in Social Services at the National Board of Health and Welfare develops and revises guidance and knowledge support within social services regarding children and youth, disabilities, and elderly care based on the best available knowledge. The department works to support and contribute to quality development and ensure knowledge-based social services in line with evidence-based practice and legislation. The department is also responsible for work with the National Center of Excellence for Elderly Care and the newly established National Center of Excellence for Intellectual Disabilities and Autism.
