Our unit On the acute geriatric care unit 30A, the focus is on the elderly, frail person. Geriatric care is conducted within a clear structure specially adapted for the elderly patient and their needs. Within geriatric care, teamwork is central – both the multidisciplinary team's collaboration and the patient's participation are important parts of care. Approximately half of the patients admitted to the acute geriatric care unit come via the emergency department, while others come via our direct intake (from ambulance or the nearby care team) or by referral from other departments within the hospital.
