Our responsibility includes surgery, anesthesia, and intensive care, encompassing day surgery, inpatient surgery, recovery and postoperative care, intensive care, anesthesia clinic, and surgical planning. The department functions as a service specialty, meaning we handle patients from other departments for surgery or intensive care. The total number of surgeries performed annually across all county hospitals is approximately 16,000. We participate with our services in almost 20,000 assignments. In day surgery, we care for patients and prepare them for their day surgery operations. In the recovery ward, all operated patients are admitted and monitored after surgery is complete. We offer a combined service where work in both day surgery and the post-operative ward is included. About the Swedish Prison and Probation Service The Swedish Prison and Probation Service is growing – we are building new facilities, renovating, and expanding, and we are now seeking more employees. We are the government agency responsible for prisons, probation services, detention facilities, and prisoner transport. Learning Center is a national organization where the Adult Education section provides education for clients of the Swedish Prison and Probation Service. At each prison in the country and at certain detention facilities, there are one or more learning centers where teachers provide instruction at basic and upper secondary levels, equivalent to municipal adult education, as well as Swedish instruction for immigrants. Adult education is nationally coordinated and organized so that studies function regardless of which facility a client is assigned to and even if they are transferred during their studies. We are now seeking a teacher for the learning center at the Viskan prison. Job Description Clients who need education can apply or be assigned to adult education. Teaching is individualized and takes place at the Learning Center. As a teacher in the Swedish Prison and Probation Service, you work in three functions. You teach your students at the Viskan prison in the learning center's facilities, and you will also support students in the role of pedagogical mentor for those who have their subject teacher remotely within the agency. In addition, you also teach students at a distance who are studying at other prisons. This means that in your role you have continuous contact with and collaborate with teachers and colleagues throughout the country. All work takes place at the facility. Qualifications In your role as a teacher, you are a skilled educator with the will and ability to motivate, inspire, and guide students to achieve their goals. You are clear and engaged in your work and have a strong ability to create structure and systematization. The work is conducted both independently and in close collaboration with colleagues, which is why good collaboration and initiative skills are important qualities, as well as the ability to work independently.
