Medical Secretary, Neuropsychiatric Clinic, Umeå

The Psychiatric Clinic at Norrland University Hospital in Umeå is Northern Sweden's largest psychiatric clinic with over 400 employees. We have three general psychiatric inpatient units, forensic psychiatric services, and several specialized outpatient and treatment units. We are seeking a medical secretary. At the Neuropsychiatric Clinic, we serve patients between 18 and 60 years of age who are assessed as needing psychiatric specialist care. The clinic is a psychiatric outpatient facility that provides diagnosis and treatment for patients whose primary issues involve neuropsychiatric functional impairment, NPF, primarily ADHD and autism. Our team consists of nurses, social workers, healthcare assistants, psychologists, physicians, and medical secretaries, and when needed, occupational and physical therapists are also part of the teams. We use an interprofessional approach where we jointly coordinate and plan interventions based on the patient's needs. 1 position(s). DUTIES As a medical secretary with us, you provide important service and enable interventions that impact many people. The clinic works with the patient in focus, and the medical secretaries work closely with other professional groups. You will be part of a team consisting of three medical secretaries, two of whom work full-time and one works 50%. The administrative tasks included in the position include dictation transcription, management of referrals and waiting lists, patient administration such as calling patients, scheduling and rescheduling patient visits, coding, 1177.se, mail handling, scheduling, filing, inventory ordering, and providing service to neighboring care units. We work in the Cosmic medical records system and several other IT systems.
