Barn Technician for Dairy Cattle

Lövsta Agricultural Research We are looking for you who want to work as a barn technician in the dairy cattle facility at SLU, Lövsta Agricultural Research outside Uppsala. We are close to thirty employees in the team at Lövsta, where half work with the dairy cattle herd of 300 cows with replacements and about 6 employees work in the pig barn where the pig herd comprises 110 sows with integrated production. The barns are highly mechanized with, among other things, milking robots (VMS) in the dairy barn. The operation conducts approximately twenty research projects annually and receives a couple of thousand SLU students. About the job We are looking for you who want to work with the regular tasks in a dairy cattle herd such as supervision in barns and pasture, cleaning, registrations, administration, weighing, and feeding. The Swedish Armed Forces' central flight safety management is primarily organized within the Air Command. With new requirements in the areas of airworthiness and aircraft maintenance, the flight safety management is being complemented with a new role, Safety Manager. The Department of Immunology, Genetics and Pathology at Uppsala University has a broad research profile with strong research groups focused on cancer, genetic and autoimmune diseases, among others. One of the core principles at the department is to stimulate translational research and thereby promote closer collaboration between medical research and healthcare. Here we have more time for each patient and work according to a patient-centered care model. Our Organization Eriksberg Health Center is located at Västertorg in the Eriksberg district of Uppsala. We have approximately 7,200 registered patients and about 30 employees. We offer most primary care services, and everyone at the health center works to provide our patients with the best possible care. The wide variety of patients—from families with children to elderly patients—creates a stimulating and developmental workplace. The health center is part of the Close Care and Health department in Region Uppsala. Our health centers are located throughout the region. We work with patients, in teams at the health center, and collaborate with colleagues at various levels of care. Eriksberg Health Center is one of two academic health centers in Region Uppsala. This means we are part of an academic primary care center that develops conditions for primary care research and development.
