Särnmark is one of Sweden's oldest personal assistance companies, founded by the current owner in the early 1990s. Särnmark currently has over 3,500 employees, and our customers and staff are located throughout Sweden. Särnmark's headquarters is in Sundbyberg, but we also have offices in other parts of Sweden. We are now seeking a personal assistant for a young woman with Down Syndrome. As a personal assistant, it is important that you are responsible and conscientious. To thrive in this role, it is also important that you can work independently. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. Female applicants only. The position is part-time and scheduled for 1-3 weekday afternoons per week between 3:30 PM-8:30 PM and every other or every third weekend, or by agreement. During weekends and when the customer is away from daily activities, shifts are typically scheduled between 10:00 AM-6:00 PM. If you are a student who wants to work afternoons through evening, approximately 3:30 PM to 8:30 PM, about 10 hours per week, this might be a perfect position. We see you as age peers with the customer, approximately 20-30 years old. Female applicants only. The customer lives just outside Uppsala with her parents. She participates in daily activities and comes home around 3:30 PM; the assistant meets the transport service bus and the shift begins. The assistant spends time with the customer and engages in activities such as walks, reading, games, crafts, and then dinner. Experience with inhaler and PEG use is a merit, but we emphasize personal suitability and personal chemistry most. We see you as a down-to-earth person, confident in yourself with an interest in development and learning. Preferably some form of pedagogical interest. The customer has an intellectual disability and needs support in her learning and help with stimulation.
