Senior Film Producer to Avalon
Senior Film Producer About the Role We are looking for an experienced Senior Film Producer to join our team of brand experience experts and storytellers, working on one of our most important client relationships. This is a senior, hands-on role covering the full spectrum of corporate film production — from concept to final delivery — across event, documentary, and commercial formats. You'll be producing content for a wide range of audiences, including international employees, investors, media, and social platforms, and you'll work closely with our Executive Producers, production managers, CD, event producers and our creative film and motion editors. What You'll Do • Development of communication concepts, scripts, and production plans for both documentary and commercial-style formats • Ensure smooth continuation of existing successful formats, while actively identifying and developing new formats to fulfill client needs • Produce and direct on location • Oversee the edit process through to final delivery, ensuring the highest creative and technical quality • Act as the main point of contact with the client throughout production and delivery, building and maintaining a trusted, long-term relationship • Adapt content and formats for different audiences — including employees, investors, media, and social media — while maintaining a consistent narrative and brand voice • Collaborate closely with Executive Producers, the Film Production Manager, Creative Director, event producers, DoPs, sound engineers and editors to deliver integrated, high-quality productions What We're Looking For We believe in courage, empathy, and continuous development, and it shows in how we work and how we look after one another. At Avalon, we believe the best results are created by people who take ownership — of their work, their development, and each other. That's why we've built an organisation where learning is central, and leadership isn't tied to a title. This is very important to us. To succeed in the role, we believe that you have: • At least 10 years of experience as a producer/director, with a strong portfolio of corporate or commercial film work • Demonstrated experience working with large corporate clients, ideally in long-term or retainer-style relationships • Strong knowledge of the corporate communications landscape, and the different formats and requirements for internal and external audiences • Proven ability to manage the full production lifecycle: concept development, scripting, planning, on-location producing/directing, and post-production oversight • Excellent client-facing communication skills, with the ability to manage expectations and build trust throughout a production • Fluency in English, written and spoken, and an understanding of Swedish • Comfortable working as part of a larger, multidisciplinary production team Why Join Us You'll be stepping into a senior role on one of our most important client accounts, with many exciting ongoing projects. You'll also have the creative freedom to shape future high-profile documentary and commercial productions from the ground up — backed by an experienced team and a client relationship built on years of trust. PhD Candidate: Marine Sediment - Georeactors for Modifying Seafloor Chemistry
The Department of Geological Sciences is part of the Faculty of Science at Stockholm University. It consists of approximately 80 teachers, researchers, doctoral students, and technical and administrative staff. The department conducts broad activities in basic and applied research in marine geology and geophysics, geochemistry, and classical geology. More information about us can be found at: Department of Geological Sciences. Project Description Deteriorating environmental conditions in the ocean, such as acidification and oxygen depletion, can have extensive consequences for climate, biodiversity, and ecosystem function. In coastal and enclosed marine areas—including the Baltic Sea—human activity can drive environmental deterioration, which can lead to changes that are difficult or impossible to reverse. So-called geoengineering has therefore been proposed as a possible strategy to counteract deteriorating conditions in the oceans. Before large-scale interventions are considered, however, their effectiveness, risks, and side effects must be evaluated through studies of natural systems and through controlled experiments. This project examines the potential of marine sediments to function as georeactors to strengthen ocean resilience, from both an eutrophication and climate perspective. By recreating relevant natural conditions in laboratory experiments, the project will evaluate how both natural processes and targeted human interventions affect the biogeochemical interaction between surface sediments and the overlying seawater. The overall objective is to determine whether sediment-based processes can help counteract environmental deterioration while preserving the integrity and function of the system consisting of sediment and seawater. Qualification Requirements To be admitted to doctoral studies, the applicant must have general and specific eligibility. Eligibility must be fulfilled no later than the final application deadline. You have general eligibility if you have completed an advanced-level degree, or completed course requirements of at least 240 higher education credits (hp), of which at least 60 hp at an advanced level, or in another way within or outside the country acquired substantially equivalent knowledge. Specific eligibility is described in the general curriculum for doctoral studies in the subject of geochemistry: At least 90 hp in geoscience At least 30 hp in mathematics, physics, chemistry, and/or biology depending on the chosen subject area within geochemistry or biogeochemistry Furthermore, at least 60 hp at an advanced level, including 30 hp independent work in geoscience. Selection Selection among eligible applicants takes place with consideration to the ability to benefit from doctoral studies. The following criteria are used to assess this ability: Experience conducting long-term laboratory incubation experiments. Experience with analytical laboratory methods and instrumentation, including IC (ion chromatography), ICP-OES, titration, spectrophotometry, etc. Experience with geochemical sampling during research expeditions. Programming skills, particularly in processing and analyzing time-series data. Written and oral communication skills in English. Analytical ability and collaboration skills. Creativity, initiative, and independence. The applicant's potential to succeed, documented through a brief research proposal (max 2 pages) attached to the application.
