Become Part of This Team Do you want to develop school libraries that inspire students and strengthen learning? AcadeMedia is now seeking a centrally employed school librarian for Drottning Blanka and NTI Handelsgymnasiet in Stockholm. As a centrally employed librarian, you will staff the library at the school. You will also receive professional development and collaborative learning opportunities with other school librarians within the organization. About the Role You will lead and develop the school library, which serves as a shared campus library for both schools. In newly renovated spaces with a strong student focus, you will work with motivated students from various upper secondary programs. Based on AcadeMedia's school library plan, you will work on language development, lead the library committee, and collaborate with staff on information literacy and reading promotion initiatives. You will create a safe and inclusive environment, support the school's work on democracy and values, and ensure a relevant and up-to-date book collection. You will be employed centrally within the organization and will have a mentor during your first year. You will work under the direction of the school principal but report to the central coordinator for school libraries within the upper secondary segment. Together with other school librarians, you will be part of a network for professional development and collaborative learning. About You We are looking for someone who is organized, self-driven, and has strong relationship-building skills. You work well with both students and staff, can work independently and in teams, and have a strong interest in teaching and learning. You are responsive, communicate clearly, and engage both colleagues and students to promote participation and well-being. You must have a degree in Library and Information Science or another relevant academic degree. Experience with school libraries or other educational activities is a merit. You have high digital competence and a strong interest in youth literature. Great importance will be placed on personal suitability. The position is a fixed-term employment at 100% capacity, starting October 1, 2026, or by agreement. The employment runs through June 30, 2027, with the possibility of extension.
