Responsibilities We are seeking a postdoctoral researcher who wants to contribute to the development of the future circular industry through research on innovation, resource flows, and industrial ecosystems. The research focuses on how established companies can develop system-building innovations for circular resource flows and longer product lifespans. The Department of Industrial Biotechnology at KTH conducts internationally leading research in biocatalysis and enzyme technology. The overall objective of this project is to develop sustainable and efficient biocatalytic processes for the synthesis of industrially important fine chemicals. The project is conducted in close collaboration with AstraZeneca in Sweden and the United Kingdom, providing a unique opportunity to work at the interface between academic research and industrial application. The research encompasses the development of immobilized transaminases, modification and characterization of thermostable enzymes, and enzymological studies of inhibition and enzyme performance under industrial process conditions.
