We who work here include doctors, nurses, ophthalmic nurses, orthoptists, opticians, nursing assistants, and administrative staff—all with different expertise to provide our patients with the best care. Your Responsibilities As a nurse or master optician at our eye clinic, you will have varied and diverse work. The clinic's tasks include preparing patients for doctor visits with various examinations, and you may also have your own independent clinics—for example, fundus photography and visual field testing. A large patient group with us consists of those with macular degeneration problems. These conditions are treated with intravitreal injections, which our nurses perform after training. Consultations via TeleQ are also part of your responsibilities as a nurse/master optician, though this becomes relevant after you have gained some experience with our operations. At our eye clinic, it is important to us to give you a thorough introduction and training so you feel confident when you start working independently. You will have a mentor whom you can always turn to with questions and concerns, and of course other colleagues are always nearby. Your Qualifications In your formal basic qualifications, you are a licensed nurse in healthcare, ophthalmic nurse, operating room nurse, or master optician, preferably with a few years of experience. You are attentive, accustomed to taking responsibility, have good ability to collaborate within and between professions, and have a positive attitude toward your work. We appreciate seeing our staff contribute to business development. We place great importance on your personal qualities. If you are a licensed nurse interested in deepening your knowledge and expertise, there is an opportunity to further train as an ophthalmic nurse later.
