In your work, you will explore generative modeling to create synthetic representative data points with high training value, while considering dataset bias and ensuring that sensitive information does not leak from the real dataset. You will work with various types of datasets (from low-dimensional point clouds to high-dimensional image data) and focus on different types of applications (e.g., medical imaging). The work will be both theoretical in nature and focused on implementation of experiments with machine learning algorithms for empirical testing. As a PhD candidate, you dedicate yourself to your research education and research projects in which you participate. Your work may also include teaching or participation in other institutional assignments, up to 20% of full-time. Your qualifications You have completed a degree at the advanced level in computer science, statistics, mathematics, electrical engineering or a related field, alternatively completed courses of at least 240 higher education credits of which at least 60 higher education credits at advanced level (within the mentioned areas) or in some other way acquired essentially equivalent knowledge.
