At the Parking Unit, we are 16 dedicated colleagues working together to create as safe and accessible a traffic environment as possible for everyone in Norrköping. Our mission comes from the urban planning committee.
The unit's tasks include parking enforcement, operation and maintenance of parking machines, and some administrative work. We are now looking for a traffic enforcement officer to join our team!
As a new employee, you will undergo an introductory training course on company time in public parking regulations. The training lasts four weeks and is partly held at another location. It includes both theory and practical work and will give you a solid foundation in your role as a traffic enforcement officer.
Your responsibilities
You will be offered a varied and rewarding position with an important civic mission, where you contribute to increased traffic safety, accessibility, and traffic flow in Norrköping municipality.
As a traffic enforcement officer, you work to monitor parked vehicles and ensure that applicable parking regulations are followed. The role requires responsibility and a structured work approach to maintain order and safety.
You will meet many people in your daily work, where you serve as an important representative for Norrköping municipality and contribute to professional and service-oriented interaction with residents.
Who are you?
We are looking for someone with completed upper secondary education. You have previous experience as a parking attendant, worked in the staffing industry or in service roles, and are accustomed to communicating in a professional manner. You are responsible and work methodically to maintain order and safety.
The work takes place largely outdoors, year-round in all weather conditions, and involves considerable walking. It suits you if you enjoy active work and good physical activity throughout the workday. You work both with colleagues and independently, which provides variety in your daily tasks and the opportunity to take personal responsibility.
A valid driver's license (category B) is required for the position, and we would appreciate if you have good knowledge of the local area.
You are attentive in your collaboration and motivated by contributing positively to your team.
You have good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written, and communicate clearly and appropriately depending on who you are talking with. You value a calm and friendly approach with a focus on excellent service.
To thrive in this role, we believe you are confident in yourself and can make well-considered decisions based on available information. You take responsibility for your work and adapt smoothly when circumstances change.
