Grounds Manager for Primary School Section

Ref: 20261768 We are now seeking a grounds manager for the Primary School section at the Property Management Unit at City Properties. The Property Management Unit is responsible for managing and developing Malmö city's properties for schools, preschools, social housing, offices and facilities, as well as culture and recreation. The unit's mission is to provide appropriate facilities and outdoor environments while maintaining the functional value of the properties. The unit has approximately 120 employees distributed across 8 sections that manage approximately 600 properties. The current position is part of the Primary School section, which manages approximately 100 primary schools. Duties As a grounds manager, you are responsible for ensuring that the operation and maintenance of the combined outdoor environment with activity areas are planned and executed so that the function of the properties is maintained. You are responsible for your budget and, together with the property manager, users, and contractors, you plan upcoming maintenance measures. Your duties also include providing advisory services regarding outdoor environment issues to tenants in new construction and renovation projects. For tenant-adapted modifications of existing outdoor environments, you are responsible for conducting dialogue and implementing the adaptations together with the tenant. In your role as grounds manager, you will represent grounds management at meetings with operations, internal meetings, and in forums concerning outdoor environments within Malmö city. You participate in jointly developing the management of outdoor environments at City Properties with other grounds managers and in developing the property portfolio with regard to long-term sustainable outdoor environments. Qualifications We are seeking someone with relevant higher education, such as landscape engineer, or alternatively other education in operation and maintenance of outdoor environments or site engineering that is deemed equivalent. You also have at least 3 years of work experience in the field. Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, is required for the position, as well as a category B driver's license. We consider it meritorious if you have experience with public procurement (LOU) and review of drawings and construction documents. The work takes place at multiple different work sites and includes programming, parameterization, and optimization of control systems, as well as technical troubleshooting in both electrical and mechanical areas. You are responsible for addressing inspection remarks and ensuring that installations meet applicable quality and safety requirements. The role also includes monitoring that subcontractors perform their work according to established quality procedures. You continuously collaborate with installation teams, project management, suppliers, the technical department, and accredited inspection bodies for installation, periodic, and revision inspections according to Swedish practice and EU elevator directives. You participate in both internal and external meetings related to quality, technology, and project execution. Work is based from home with a service vehicle; you report to the Project Manager in Malmö, and travel within the region is part of the position. Examples of Work Tasks Lead and conduct Test & Commissioning tasks such as checking safety chains, door logic, brake tests, leveling accuracy, drive systems (VFD/servo), load testing including overload, and functional tests according to standards and manufacturer procedures. Parameterization and programming of control systems (controller), optimization of operation, and documentation for handover to customer and service organization. Preparation and technical coordination for third-party inspection, including ensuring complete T&C and CE documentation. Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, for example in control cabinets, sensor systems, and emergency communication/telephone, as well as closure of deviations together with installation teams and subcontractors. Ensure compliance with the EN 81 series and elevator directive 2014/33/EU in both practical execution and documentation. We are Looking for Someone Who Has Post-secondary education in electrical work, automation, or equivalent work experience. (REQUIRED) Good knowledge of control and safety systems, including the ability to read electrical diagrams and work with elevator controls and drive systems. (REQUIRED) Driver's license (Category B). (REQUIRED) Good proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written. (REQUIRED) Previous experience with Test & Commissioning / commissioning of elevators in new installations and/or modernizations. Experience collaborating with inspection bodies such as DEKRA or Kiwa in connection with inspections in Sweden. Background in microelectronics or work with advanced data systems and control systems. Experience in troubleshooting, measurement, and testing in electrical, automation, or related technical installations. Knowledge of applicable standards and regulations, such as EN 81, national building codes, and inspection practices (installation, periodic, and revision inspections).
