About the Operation Since 2015, the ÄlSa home visit team has connected geriatric frequent visitors with complex care needs, primarily from inpatient care but also outpatient care, to the team. We have a colleague retiring in the spring and want to strengthen our team as a result. The team consists of 3 district nurses and a physician. The catchment area was previously Sundsvall municipality, but in autumn 2025 this has been expanded to also handle patients from Timrå municipality. The ÄlSa team visits patients where they are located, for example at home, in short-term housing, or at the hospital. Together with patients and their families, individually tailored care is provided with close follow-up on the results of interventions. In ÄLSA you work as an extension of specialist care in patients' home environments, which means constant cooperation with both patient and their loved ones. About the Department The Geriatrics, Neurology and Rehabilitation (GNR) department is part of the southern primary care area. GNR has two care units, one focused on rehabilitation (26A) and one for stroke/neurology (26B). Unit 26B manages stroke care, including thrombolysis and thrombectomy, as well as postoperative care following carotid surgery. Basic inpatient neurology is included on unit 26B. GNR is fundamentally well-staffed on the physician side with 20 specialists and 8 ST-residents in internal medicine, neurology, geriatrics, and rehabilitation medicine. Unit 26B is rounded by a joint physician group that includes internists with stroke focus and neurologists. These physicians also staff a shared on-call line for this patient group. The neurology outpatient clinic is relatively comprehensive and also carries out a consultation service during daytime hours. Unit 26A is rounded by geriatricians who work in interprofessional teams. Assistant Unit Manager for the Addiction Team / Department 7, Sundsvall

About the Operations Regional Psychiatry and Habilitation Services coordinates regional healthcare for adult psychiatry, child and adolescent psychiatry, and habilitation in Region Västernorrland. Regional healthcare operations are conducted at three hospitals—Sundsvall, Sollefteå, and Örnsköldsvik—and at a number of clinics located in several towns throughout the region. The Addiction Team is a region-wide team connected to psychiatric inpatient care at Department 7 in Sundsvall. The team functions as a link between psychiatric inpatient, intermediate, and outpatient care, primary care, municipalities, health and medical services, and provides all actors with consultative support while serving as a center of expertise. The team plans care before, during, and after inpatient treatment and is an important link in the care chain for individuals. The Addiction Team provides guidance and support to the region's municipalities, primary care, and other care partners, and implements clinical interventions of an outpatient nature. The team, currently consisting of two coordinators, a nurse, a social worker, and a physician, will be strengthened with additional staff to provide treatment services for direct work with patients with harmful use and substance dependence combined with psychiatric issues. This is part of a transition effort aligned with the comorbidity reform. Travel within the region may occur. We are now seeking an Assistant Unit Manager for the Addiction Team / Department 7. The unit is responsible for care-proximate system management of healthcare systems and e-services via 1177. About the Operations The Public Health Unit is seeking a public health analyst who wants to work at the intersection of public health science, epidemiology and statistics - and translate data into clear reports that strengthen regional work based on the region's new public health strategy. The unit is part of the Regional Development administration and has the task of creating conditions for good and equitable health throughout the region. Local Healthcare Area South has a hospital and eight region-operated health centers, one of which is Health Center Södra Sundet. In the area there are four municipalities with six private care centers. Local Healthcare Area South has approximately 900 employees and six operational managers. Health Center Södra Sundet in Härnösand is a health center with everything gathered under one roof and around 10,000 registered patients. We strive to provide residents with good accessibility in all areas. We also have Primary Care Emergency Services within our premises.
