About the Operations The Public Health Unit is seeking a public health analyst who wants to work at the intersection of public health science, epidemiology and statistics - and translate data into clear reports that strengthen regional work based on the region's new public health strategy. The unit is part of the Regional Development administration and has the task of creating conditions for good and equitable health throughout the region. We work knowledge-based and in close collaboration with municipalities, the regional government office, internal operations and other actors. One of the unit's core tasks is to describe and monitor health development in the population, and there is great demand for knowledge reports and situation assessments - your expertise will be in demand. With us, you will have a strategically important role in a knowledge-intensive assignment with great societal benefit. You will become part of a unit with broad public health expertise and work closely with colleagues and collaboration partners in the region. An important part of the assignment is to contribute analyses and knowledge reports that strengthen the public health mission but also the link between public health and other areas such as regional planning. The role contributes to making public health data easily accessible and usable as a basis for analysis, follow-up and knowledge-based decisions. The content of the position may be adapted over time based on the organization's goals and the unit's overall needs. Your induction takes place together with the unit manager and a designated colleague. A work trial may be applied before employment. Duties Processing and reporting of data and statistical analysis Production and communication of knowledge reports tailored to target groups Responsibility for the unit's work with implementation and analysis of population surveys and questionnaires Follow-up, development and collaboration in areas related to the unit's mission Qualifications We are looking for you who Have a university/higher education degree in a relevant field, such as public health science, statistics, epidemiology or other that the employer deems equivalent Have knowledge of and work experience in statistical analysis and data processing Have knowledge of and work experience in developing analyses, reports, visualizations or other knowledge reports Have knowledge and experience of working with digital work tools and statistical programs, such as SPSS, Python or R Have very good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing Hold a Class B driving license It is meritorious if you Have experience leading and delivering in projects/processes Have experience working with strategic planning and development work Experience working in a politically governed organization or in collaboration between multiple actors (municipality/region/state authorities) Work experience using AI as a tool in assignments Have good knowledge of English in speech and writing To succeed in the role, we believe you have these personal qualities Self-directed Pedagogical insight Relationship-building Quality-conscious Region Västernorrland With approximately 7,000 employees and over 200 professions, Region Västernorrland is responsible for several of the operations that are most important for residents' ability to participate in society.
