JOB RESPONSIBILITIES This is a permanent full-time position (100%) involving work during evenings and nights throughout the municipality, in both ordinary housing and special accommodations. During nights, two nurses always work together to ensure safe, secure, and high-quality care for our patients. As an evening and night nurse, you are responsible for providing qualified medical care and support. Your work includes both planned and acute medical assessments, treatments, and follow-up of care interventions, including palliative care at the end of life. You document according to current procedures and provide important support to patients, relatives, and care staff. The role involves significant personal responsibility and requires that you feel confident making independent decisions, while also maintaining close collaboration with colleagues and other professionals to create good and cohesive care. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who: • are a licensed nurse with work experience in the profession, • have a B driving license, • have good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both verbally and in writing You are confident in your professional role and have the ability to make well-founded decisions, even in situations requiring quick assessments. You are flexible and adapt to patients' needs, always with the patient's best interests in focus. It is advantageous if you have experience in home healthcare. As a person, you are responsible, engaged, and communicative. You have good interpersonal skills, enjoy working both independently and with others, and contribute to a work environment characterized by collaboration and quality. Ystad Home Care; In Ystad Municipality, there are eight engaged home care teams that work every day to create safety, participation, and high quality of life for our service users. Our night patrol is responsible for care services during all night hours and operates throughout the municipality. In the nature-close areas of Svarte and Löderup, our home care teams work closely with service users who have both cognitive illnesses and needs for somatic care. Here you will have the opportunity to combine independent work with closeness to both people and our beautiful countryside. Since the work takes place in rural areas, a B-category driver's license is required. In central Ystad, there are five home care teams where much of the work is carried out by bicycle—an efficient and sustainable way of working that creates closeness to both colleagues and service users. Bellahöjdens home care team has special expertise in cognitive illnesses, while the teams in Östra Förstaden, Centrum, Hälsobacken, and Briggen primarily work with somatic care. QUALIFICATIONS To be qualified for this position, you must have: • Training as a nursing assistant with a protected professional title. • Proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written (at least pass in basic Swedish from grade 9 of primary school or SFI D). • Cycling experience. • B-category driver's license—only for our home care teams in rural areas. It is advantageous to have previous experience in care work, home care, and training and experience with cognitive illnesses.
