Within the social care administration, approximately 1,200 engaged employees work to provide support and care to those in need in our municipality. The work takes place within elderly care, home care, services for people with disabilities, and social psychiatry, as well as individual and family services.
Ystad Home Care;
In Ystad Municipality, there are eight engaged home care teams that work every day to create safety, participation, and high quality of life for our service users.
Our night patrol is responsible for care services during all night hours and operates throughout the municipality. In the nature-close areas of Svarte and Löderup, our home care teams work closely with service users who have both cognitive illnesses and needs for somatic care. Here you will have the opportunity to combine independent work with closeness to both people and our beautiful countryside. Since the work takes place in rural areas, a B-category driver's license is required.
In central Ystad, there are five home care teams where much of the work is carried out by bicycle—an efficient and sustainable way of working that creates closeness to both colleagues and service users. Bellahöjdens home care team has special expertise in cognitive illnesses, while the teams in Östra Förstaden, Centrum, Hälsobacken, and Briggen primarily work with somatic care.

As a nursing assistant with us, you are a key person in our service users' everyday lives. You meet people in their own homes and create safety and a dignified life based on their individual needs.
Your work duties involve more than just care and may include:
• Provide personal care with respect, warmth, and professionalism.
• Assist with everyday tasks such as cooking, shopping, cleaning, and laundry.
• Create social safety through conversation, presence, and engagement.
• Perform delegated health and medical care services, such as medication administration.
• Work independently with planning your visits.
• Be an important link between service users, relatives, and colleagues.
QUALIFICATIONS
To be qualified for this position, you must have:
• Training as a nursing assistant with a protected professional title.
• Proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written (at least pass in basic Swedish from grade 9 of primary school or SFI D).
• Cycling experience.
• B-category driver's license—only for our home care teams in rural areas.
It is advantageous to have previous experience in care work, home care, and training and experience with cognitive illnesses.

You have an easy time creating safe and trusting relationships with our service users and their relatives. You are responsive and flexible in your approach, see each person's unique needs, and adapt to different situations and conditions. At the same time, you are responsible and stable, work in a structured manner, and take initiative when needed. You enjoy working both independently and as part of a team and contribute to a positive and respectful work environment.
