We are now looking for a librarian who wants to strengthen our team during a period when we are also running development projects. We offer varied, social, and meaningful work in a small but engaged work group where we support each other and together develop our library operations. As a librarian with us, you primarily work at the information desk where you meet and guide visitors with loans, information searches, and other library matters. The work also includes shelving books, receiving class visits and other groups, program activities, and other common library tasks. YOUR EXPERTISE We are looking for someone with a degree in library and information science, good knowledge of literature, and a strong interest in literature promotion. Experience in library work is a merit. As a person, you have good customer service skills and the ability to take your own initiative. You are self-reliant and take responsibility for your tasks. You communicate easily and express yourself well in speech and writing. You work in a structured manner and have a commitment to developing the operation together with your colleagues. REQUIREMENTS B-class driver's license YOUR NEW WORKPLACE Vindeln Library is an integrated public and school library. We also have integrated branch libraries in Granö, Hällnäs, and Tvärålund as well as a branch in Åmsele. Vindeln Library is a self-service library, which means that visitors can use the facilities even when they are unstaffed. Our staffed opening hours are Monday through Thursday, with evening opening on Thursdays. During the winter half of the year, we are open on Saturdays.
