Nurses for Intermediate Care at Acute Care Unit

Now we are establishing a new acute care unit (AVA) with intermediate care positions at Ljungby Hospital — and we're looking for you to be with us from the start. The Acute Care Unit is part of the Acute Clinic, which together with the region's two emergency departments forms a central part of care for acutely ill and injured patients. The clinic has nearly 200 committed employees. We are an academic acute clinic with excellent opportunities for learning and development in daily work. This is the AVA with IMA positions in Ljungby: The new unit will improve patient flow at the hospital and strengthen care for patients who need more monitoring and treatment than other medical departments at the hospital can provide. In the first phase, we will start the acute care unit in week 34. In the next phase, in the fall, we will start intermediate care positions on the unit. In total, the unit will have 16 AVA positions and three IMA positions. With us you will meet patients with conditions in, among others, medicine, surgery, orthopedics, and infection. DUTIES As a nurse you work close to the patient. Clinical assessments and prioritizations are a central part of the work. Duties include, among other things: • continuous monitoring and clinical assessments • planning and coordination of patient care • close collaboration with physicians and other professions We are now looking for nurses who are primarily interested in working with intermediate care patients, but as a nurse with us you will work with both intermediate care and patients on the acute care unit, according to your competence. For additional variation and skills development, there is an opportunity to combine work assignments with other units at the hospital. Since it is a new unit, you will receive training before the unit opens as well as individualized introduction and a mentor. If you are newly employed at Region Kronoberg, you will also receive a regional introduction. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse.
