Our Culture and Recreation department works to provide a rich cultural and leisure offering for our residents and visitors. We are now looking for a Pool Manager for our swimming and sports hall. In our swimming and sports hall, we have two pools: a 25-meter Olympic pool with diving facilities and a teaching pool with an adjustable floor. We also have a popular water play area with plenty of space for splashing and play. We are committed to ensuring that everyone can use our facilities. All work at the swimming and sports hall is based on our three focus areas: -good communication -order and cleanliness -good customer service. Welcome to us! 1 position(s). DUTIES As a Pool Manager, you will work with safety supervision, guest service, and oversight of the entire facility including the swimming hall, sports hall, reception, changing rooms, and gym. You will conduct swimming and lifesaving instruction, badge testing, and various activities such as water aerobics, baby swimming, and mini swimming. You will provide service to visitors and partners and participate in activity planning and development work. It is important to us that you contribute to a clean, fresh, and safe facility and that you provide good customer service to our guests. Therefore, cleaning tasks in all wet areas are part of the position. Evening and weekend shifts occur with a rotating work schedule between reception and pool. QUALIFICATIONS You have pool manager training, post-secondary education with swimming instructor specialization, or other accredited training that the employer deems equivalent. Swimming proficiency is required, and we require a passed diving and lifesaving test. Pool lifeguard training or water aerobics training is a merit for the position, as is training or knowledge in CPR, fitness, or first aid. You have previous experience in the profession, work with children, and good water skills. Good basic computer skills are an advantage. Since you will primarily work with people, we see that you are outgoing, able to collaborate and communicate easily with both customers and colleagues, and that you thrive in social settings. You are accommodating in your interactions, engaged, and take initiative. You have the ability to work both independently and in a group. You are a positive, flexible, and responsible person with good collaboration skills. A clear police background check for work with children and young people is a requirement for employment.
