Borås Energi & Miljö's Fleet consists of swap body trucks, crane/swap body trucks, and a side-tipping wood chip unit. We are a team of 16 drivers. The position mainly involves driving a swap body truck. With a swap body truck, you'll transport containers from our recycling centers and other types of shipments from our external and internal customers. The role requires close collaboration with colleagues and the ability to take responsibility for your routes. The work also requires a willingness to go the extra mile for both internal and external customers, as well as handling deviations and improvement work related to both routes and work environment. Your responsibilities will include: Operating a truck with swap body and trailer Operating a vacuum truck when needed Handling deviations in the EDP Mobile data system Monitoring fuel and waste levels in the Qlik data system Covering for other operations within the Transport department when needed Your Background and Personal Qualities CE driver's license and YKB are required. Crane certification over 18 t/m and wheel loader cargo handling/construction are advantageous. You have a technical and mechanical interest in learning all vehicle functions and can make the right decisions based on current vehicle issues. You have good local knowledge of Borås, solution-focused collaboration skills, and you are flexible, risk-aware, and organized. What Do We Offer? We are responsible for collection of municipal waste and recyclable materials as well as the treatment of materials and disposal. Our solutions range from efficient standard services to customized arrangements adapted to each customer's specific needs. The position is placed within the Recycling Services Department, where we work to create value through smart management of material and energy flows. Much of the waste we receive is actually a valuable resource. Through various recycling processes, it is transformed into new products, raw materials and energy. For example, waste can become district heating through energy recovery, biogas through anaerobic digestion, or raw material for industry. Metal scrap becomes new car parts, worn-out tires get new life as noise barriers, and used plastic packaging is converted into, for example, sound barriers. About the role As a Scale Technician at Sobacken, you will be a central function in the reception and control of waste and recyclable materials. You contribute to ensuring that incoming materials are handled correctly and in accordance with applicable requirements, while you provide professional service to transporters and other partners. In the role you are responsible for weighing vehicles in and out as well as conducting inspections of incoming materials. You work administratively with, among other things, scale tickets, transport documents and the business system Viktoria. An important part of the work is to ensure correct classification of material fractions and that disposal material meets applicable requirements and documentation. The position also involves regular inspection rounds both within and outside the Sobacken area, which gives you a varied working day with a combination of administration, customer contact and practical work. Your background and personal qualities We are looking for someone who has completed upper secondary education in a relevant field or has acquired equivalent competence through work experience. You have good computer skills and feel confident working in the Microsoft Office suite. If you also have experience with other industry-related systems, we see that as a merit. For this position, a Category B driver's license for manual transmission is required, as the work involves travel between different locations.
