The finance unit has overall responsibility for driving and developing financial management in the municipality, serving as an internal service within the economic area, and managing procurement. Now we're looking for you to contribute to our shared quality and development. 1 position(s). JOB DUTIES As our new Controller/Economist, you'll have broad and varied work. The main part will be qualified and consultative support to the Social Services Administration, where you contribute to ensuring that the administration's economic resources are used in the best way possible. You will: • Support the administration with development, budgeting, follow-up, analysis, reporting, and some ongoing bookkeeping. • Participate in political meetings and present economic matters. • Participate in developing financial reporting and analysis tools together with colleagues. It's natural that you contribute to our efforts to continuously improve and streamline our working methods. We value new ideas! To increase quality assurance in the unit, we work by being backup for each other and helping each other when needed. QUALIFICATIONS We're looking for someone with experience working as a Controller/Economist and who has relevant university education in economics or other education that we consider equivalent. You have solid knowledge of budget processes, financial analysis, and follow-up. Experience from public sector operations is a merit, but not a requirement. With your knowledge, you can coach and support managers in a way that strengthens both their financial competence and the administration's results. Experience with the Visma financial system (for large organizations) and Hypergene is a merit. As a person, you have the following characteristics: • General curiosity about new technical solutions. • Enjoy taking responsibility and have an ability to develop processes. • Structured and efficient and stay calm in challenging situations. • Think strategically, analytically, and solution-oriented. • Express yourself well in speech and writing.
