Salberga Prison opened in August 2007, and the location where Salberga is situated has a long tradition of state operations. The Salberga operations area consists of both a prison and a remand facility with capacity in security class 1. The operations area has approximately 600 places in total. 500 employees and 27 managers administer, lead, and develop operations in Sala.
