About the Operation The Eye Care Department is one of Sweden's five largest eye care operations. Our university hospital care consists of two units: a medical unit with extensive outpatient care and a surgical unit. The outpatient clinic has team-based operations in general ophthalmology, glaucoma, medical retina, pediatric and strabismus, neuroophthalmology, and uveitis. The surgical unit has a large vitreo-retinal surgery section as well as an anterior segment surgery section with a cornea center. In total, we have over 130 employees in the operation. We strive to be at the forefront with high medical quality in several areas, including medical retina. Here there is advanced equipment including navigated retinal laser and wide-field imaging.
