About the Operation The Eye Care Department is one of Sweden's five largest eye care operations. Our university hospital care consists of two units: a medical unit with extensive outpatient care and a surgical unit. The outpatient clinic has team-based operations in general ophthalmology, glaucoma, medical retina, pediatric and strabismus, neuroophthalmology, and uveitis. The surgical unit has a large vitreo-retinal surgery section as well as an anterior segment surgery section with a cornea center. In total, we have over 130 employees in the operation.
