Now you have the opportunity to work with us at the Geriatric Clinic's outpatient care - ASIH (Advanced Care at Home) and GÖT (Geriatric Outpatient Team) - which have merged to create a new and dynamic Outpatient Section. With us, you will have the opportunity to work with a broad spectrum of patients of all ages, from younger individuals with complex needs to elderly patients with multiple diseases, as well as provide specialized palliative care. You will also be involved in certain outpatient clinic activities and work with consultant patients - every day brings new and rewarding challenges. Job Responsibilities As a nurse on our team, you will have a unique opportunity to work with advanced home healthcare, where the goal is to give patients who wish it the chance to remain at home despite their need for specialist care. You will work closely with both patients and their families, where you will use and develop your skills in nursing care, medical technology, and medication management. Your work includes, among other things, management of central lines, drainage, medication pumps, and coordination of care measures together with other healthcare providers. You will also be an important part of planning and follow-up for our patients, who are primarily palliative patients with advanced symptoms or elderly patients with multiple diseases who require continuous follow-up and individually tailored care. The role also includes being a consultant to other parts of the healthcare system, for example with blood transfusions, drip treatments, IV antibiotic treatment, and drainage management. Qualifications We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse and have a genuine interest in working with a variety of patients. It is a merit if you have experience in advanced home healthcare or geriatrics, but the most important thing is that you have a desire to develop and learn new areas of work. To thrive in this role, we see that you are self-driven, responsible, and have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team with other professionals. You have good communication skills with both patients and their families and see the value in creating a safe and respectful relationship. You should also be flexible and have a solution-oriented mindset, as the work often involves finding adapted solutions for each unique patient.
